What personal data we collect and why we collect it


When a visitor leaves a comment on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser signature to help detect spam.

An anonymized character string based on your email address (called a hash) can be sent to Gravatar to verify that you are using it. Gravatar’s Privacy Policy is available here: once a comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible in the context of your comment.


If you are a registered user and upload images to the site, you should avoid uploading images with location EXIF tags. Visitors to the site can download and read the full location data from the images on the site.
